I really like the revisions to the manual, especially some of the little illustration looking parts. For some reason though, that header bar (looks like it was modified from the Indicator type specimen) looks very strange in the manual, I like it but for some reason it doesn’t seem to fit well to me. It has this futuristic look that doesn’t fit the “retro-future” that the rest of your stuff has. It may be the open boxes and the complexity of it. I also think it optically stretches out your letters giving them qualities of the Spiderman movie titles, or Bank Gothic. What typeface are you using for the body copy? I’m not sure if that fits either, I think I like the italic parts, but not the regular style.
Also, on the third spread, I like that pattern being shown on the left, but it seems like it needs to be smaller or larger, the odd narrow shape is making it seem squished, and I’m not really feeling that “Yes or No” black bar title either, it seems very disparate. I’m assuming you want some more bold contrast there, maybe it could just be in the typeface, or a differently styled header bar.
