I love the more bold aspects of this manual, I think a pattern could work, but for some reason that one isn’t working for me. I think it may be how big the white triangles are, but I’m not sure, some aspect of the pattern is throwing it a bit off balance.
Also, the cover of the booklet feels a bit out of kilter. I do like how it almost looks purposeful because of the odd shape of the white block and how it almost makes it seem dizzying… but I think the triangle/line at the top takes away some of the balance. Maybe it needs something else inside the white area to balance it out more.

Christopher, I just stopped in via Paul Sahre’s site. I don’t have much critical feedback to give as such but I did want to cheer you on with this project. I’m especially interested in projects like this that make me question contemporary adherence to scientific study versus complimentary ideas of fate and mystery from antiquity. The scientific three pronged “fate” logo is great and I want to own these products you’re creating.
You’re doing some nice work. If nothing else, if the 826 writing center ever wants to open up a Deciders storefront then they’ve found their man to spearhead it.
